More Than a Supporters Group — We’re a Community

Riptides is an independent supporters group for fans of San Diego FC built around passion, community, and creating an unforgettable matchday experience.

We exist to bring supporters together — whether that means singing in the stands for 90 minutes, tailgating before kickoff, traveling to away matches, organizing watch parties, or simply building friendships around a shared love of San Diego soccer.

At Riptides, we believe supporting the club is about more than just showing up for matches. It’s about building something together. 

We are proud to be an open, welcoming, and inclusive community where supporters from all backgrounds can feel at home. We celebrate what makes our members unique and believe supporter culture is strongest when everyone feels like they belong.

That inclusivity shows up in the things we do every day. We proudly wave the Pride flag at every match, celebrate important milestones in our members’ lives — from graduations and birthdays to new babies and personal achievements — and genuinely care for and support one another as much as we support our team.

What We Do

As a group, Riptides helps create the atmosphere and culture that makes matchdays special. Throughout the season, we organize:
• Matchday tailgates and pregame meetups
• Watch parties for away matches and special events
• Flags, chants, and supporter culture initiatives
• Community events and volunteer opportunities
